My name is Mia, I am 28, and this is my story. I was 24 and living in the city by myself. I had moved away from everything I knew for a job I thought I truly wanted. Instead, it was a complete nightmare. I did not fit in with anyone; I rarely had any extra time. The free time I did have was spent eating and sleeping. That was my life.
I remember waking up one Saturday in November and staring at myself in the mirror. I looked terrible. Everything was so, BIG. I never considered myself fat before. The most I had ever weighed before starting that job was 130lbs.
That dreary Saturday, I stepped on the scale and found that I weighed 170lbs! I cried for quite a while, saddened by the person I had become, the life I had settled for. Then, I stood up, cleaned myself up, and vowed to make some serious changes.
Within 3 weeks, my life was heading in a new and exciting direction! I found a new job with better hours, I was making friends, and I had already lost 12lbs!
I became more aware of what I was putting into my body. I found all of the local health food stores, and signed up for the best gym I could afford. I got my life back on track.
They say it takes 21 days to create a habit, whoever said that had it right!
Now here I am four years later. I weigh 122lbs. I am healthy, fit, and ready to help others make their own life changes!
